The Pressure Cooker Life!

If you are from the Indian subcontinent you learn from an young age THE pressure cooker is your life! It is not a pun! Most of the rice and dal (lentils) are cooked in a cooker which is a huge comfort!

I have two instant pots which do have pressure cooker settings and do the same job the same way! Yet for quick work, I do pull out my pressure pan and that is what I did with my young man this week for his cooking video! Ha! he knows where I keep the weight for the same and can open and close the same pan with ease. I do know, he will not be allowed to handle a pressure cooker in his life alone but it is okay for him to learn this way too!

Yes, we made a very easy mixed vegetable subji (curry) for this week video in a pressure pan!

Ha, my add on project was to sprout the lentils and I am happy to announce I am getting good at it! It did become Andhra Pesarattu dosa!

Day one of May began with a food blog! Let’s see what happens! 🙂
