Typical mom notes

Almost a week, I have been on a project with my second kid. This was a bonding time with him, an activity and along with it I did a work with him. It was a mom and son time. This also gave me an opportunity to do normal mom stuff with him and be worried about a typical kid.

It did have a lot of moving parts to it. That is when I realized how easy it was for people with typical children. I worried so much about the trivial things and I even called my mom to discuss about it. It had a lot of happiness component but a few worrisome points. If I sit alone and think about the things I worried about I can laugh about it all day.

The weekend was the climax and I am now back at the pool putting on a timer so my special young man water walks and gets his aquatic exercise. He has been promised a cake at Starbucks and looking back at this week, the lifestyle difference is day and night.

A journal note to myself on a day when there was so much thought process going on!

What did me and my typical adult son do? Maybe that is for another day but I thoroughly enjoyed doing it.

Meanwhile, why is Halloween stuff here at Costco so early?

It is still summer and pool time!

  1. I wondered the same thing about Halloween the last time I went to Costco! Glad you got some bonding time with your younger son! Sweet!

    1. Yes I needed that bonding time. Marketing strategy by Costco to make moms buy Halloween stuff! Kids may get bored and may not ask for it 😃!

  3. I’m glad the use of a timer works for you. Transitions are hard for us and T and timers have limited efficacy for us.

I’m not surprised Halloween stuff are up already. This year is just flying. We’re gonna see Christmas stuff soon! 🤭
