Travel inspirations?

Daily writing prompt
What’s a movie or book that inspired you to travel?

You don’t need a book or a movie to inspire travel. Just be on social media. An unknown person would have posted their experience and you start planning and imagining!

Cruise lines are booked far ahead! I say that is one big positivity! You are pretty much sure you are going to live eighteen months healthy and happy! Hotel rooms in some famous places need to be booked an year advance! I give a thumbs up to people doing that. Investing money for their future, return being happiness 😀!

I follow a couple of Youtube travel vloggers. In particular, I like a father and son duo who do roadtrips. It is something that is in my territory! https://www.throughmylens.com/road-trips/

Our recent trip to Colorado, I used https://wereintherockies.com/. Their Youtube videos were perfect for my trip planning.

With my special needs son, I do not get inspired by a video or dream about a vacation. I have to plan 🤷‍♀️!

Being a travel family or a road trip family, I have planned a couple of weekends. Ha ha, it was not inspired by a book or a movie. It has been meticulously planned according to our family’s needs.

June 2023, Macinack Island

Macinack Island, is one of the beautiful places I have ever visited.

  3. Social media for sure is a great source of travel inspiration, whether seeing other people’s travels or reels randomly appearing. Our recent summer roadtrip was all a random decision inspired by a Facebook ad.

  5. Ganga ji, your approach to travel is pure gold! While most of us get lost in cinematic daydreams, you are out there turning logistics into love letters for your family. Planning around your son’s needs isn’t a limitation—it’s a superpower that ensures every single moment on the road is safe, joyful, and stress-free. Mackinac Island is indeed breathtaking, but it’s your meticulous spirit that makes those views even sweeter. You are proof that the best trips aren’t just seen; they are carefully, beautifully built.
