The Villain

Have you ever liked a villain more than the hero? Who and why?

I just finished reading this article my brother just forwarded me! Looks like a movie situation! The article did made me remember a Tamil movie Endiran by Super star Rajinikanth! He is a robotic scientist who builds a robot which looks like him! The robot does try to take over the world! There was a sequel to the movie! But I didn’t watch it! I have always admired Rajinikanth as an actor but him playing the villain robot I really loved his acting so much! Ha Ha, got attracted to the negative character! I think the screenplay potrayed his negative character really well and he also had a scope to show his acting talent! When you are reading a book, unless the author puts in an effort, the villain would just remain a villain!

Meanwhile, I finished a task I wanted to do yesterday today but I have two loads of laundry to fold! In fact, I have a load for my son who tried to get away from that activity! Is there a robot that is going to help him learn life and safety skills? I don’t think the scientist community worries about these problems!

Have a good day all!

Second day in a row I have blogged about AI! Seems like a AI flu season! Definitely have some food pictures for tomorrow 😀!

  1. I loved the way you connected the serious AI discussion with Enthiran and then brought us straight back to the very real “villain” of every household—laundry! 😂🤖

You are absolutely right about villains: whether in a movie or a book, a memorable negative character needs depth, personality and a convincing story. Rajinikanth’s performance as Chitti certainly showed how fascinating a well-written villain can become.

  2. When a villain is multi dimensional, they often become the scene stealer in the movie or book!

    1. Yes you are right!
