Plan B day!

How did you meet your significant other?

Mine was an arranged marriage! Ha Ha, Not that kind of marriage shown on Television and cinema in the Western World, with my dad having a knife to my throat and me in tears asking me to marry my significant other! But it had a lot of interesting things and I save it for my biography or autobiography!

That said, it was a Plan B day yesterday! But it did make me understand Plan B works good too and everyone should have one in place 😀!

We planned a trail walk! By the time we hit the trails, it was late and it poured cats and dogs ! Yup, not even like I can walk getting a bit wet!

I knew the chances of rain was in the forecast and given this August’s trajectory, if it said 50 percent rain, it was going to be 100 percent! So I told my gang we will be visiting an art museum!

My husband calls himself Aurangazeb, a Mughal Emperor though being son of Shahjahan (who built the Taj Mahal) had zero interest in art! I am not against any kind of art form but I am not crazy about it either! My kids, both with our genes have never exhibited any kind of interest in art! So this Plan B, was like a bizarre activity!

Contrary to my thoughts my young man loved walking inside the museum. We started taking pictures and all of a sudden my Aurangazeb husband asked me to come to one portion of the gallery!

It was called the waiting room and each portrait in that room is of a person waiting at a doctor’s office! The artist who had a surgery spent hours in a waiting room resulting in her creating these interesting portraits!

Sharing a few pictures here!

Every portrait had a person involved in something and a clock behind! This was a Plan B for them right? No one plans to be in a doctor’s office! The artist included! The artist Plan B resulted in something beautiful and us a non artistic family got excited about the same!

I hope all of you have a great Plan A day but if yours do fail, hope your Plan B works out great too!

  1. Ganga ji, you’re the flow that keeps us all going, even when our plans get washed away by rain! 🙏🌊 Keep inspiring us to find beauty in the detours.

Here’s to Plan A’s, Plan B’s, and all the letters in between — as long as we’re moving forward with a smile! 💪🎨☔

    1. Thank you 🙂🙏!

      1. 🙏🏼🤝

  2. It’s always good to have a Plan B, especially with our neurodiverse kids who often don’t adapt to sudden changes well.

Arranged marriage is always an interesting concept to me, as someone not from your culture and community. I know it comes with a lot of stereotypes but I also know when it works, it works really well. Glad you made a wonderful life out of the journey!

    1. It is really hard to explain the arranged marriage concept to the Western world 😂!
