Have you ever broken a bone?
When I was three I fell down and had a crack on my bone. My right hand was on a sling and I remember very less about it.
When my son was three, I slipped fell down and had a ligament tear followed by a PCL surgery on my right knee!
Last December, when the cold hit us my left knee started causing problems. It wasn’t until February I started my physical therapy journey. My therapist was pretty confident I didn’t break any bones and that it was my ligament that was causing trouble. She also said I didn’t have any ligament tear to be surgical.
Yes, no surgeries this time nor any tear but the recovery has been hard! I really do not want to overdo things so have been taking things slowly.
This weekend my community had a 5k race. I had practiced walking hills the week before but last minute I decided to do the mile walk on the tracks. This was not me fearing a 5k but making a smart move. Anyhow the rest of my family did the 5k.
The past few months and the continuing journey has taught me a lot! I didn’t break any bones nor did I have any surgery but as we get older the recovery is hard!
