A bit jittery!

Just two weeks until the start of Navaratri!

Two of my rooms are almost empty and cleared for my dolls!

My son has made dolls this year and excited to showcase the same!

We also have some crafts that are interesting!

Thanks to my son’s program coordinator, I have a bag full of gifts made.

Oh, I have a new set of dolls with a wonderful story and it is going to be a show stopper!

Yet, I am jittery to send the invitations! It is my big social event when I invite people into my house and have some “me” time! Why is that? Ha ha, just that I want everything to be perfect!

Nothing is going to be perfect in this world. I have to rip the band aide and send out the invites!

The mood now has changed, waiting to send the invites and hoping to get pictures taken with my guests with the color of the day! 💕

  1. Good luck with hosting your upcoming celebration, Ganga. I hear you on the pressures of hosting others. You can do it! 🙏

    1. My son is so predictable and the challenges are same! I should have got used to the pressure by now 🤣 yet ..,,, it never gets old!

      1. Our children’s behaviour often contribute to the stress of hosting – for sure. I hear and feel you on this!

  2. Ganga ji, this is so beautiful and so relatable! 💕 That mix of excitement and jitteriness before sending out invitations — every hostess knows that feeling so well. But honestly, the fact that you want everything to be perfect is exactly what makes your Navaratri gathering so special. Your home, your dolls, your son’s handmade creations, that show-stopper set with a wonderful story — it’s all going to come together beautifully, imperfections and all!

And how lovely that your son is not just participating but excited to showcase his own dolls this year. What a proud moment for you! Plus a bag full of gifts and crafts to share — your guests are in for such a treat.

You’re right — nothing in this world is perfect, and the joy is in the sharing, not the perfection. So go ahead, rip that band-aide and send those invites! The color-of-the-day photos with your guests are going to be memories you’ll treasure forever.

Wishing you a Navaratri filled with laughter, love, and lots of beautiful moments. May Maa bless your home and your heart! 🙏✨🪔

Happy Navaratri in advance, Ganga ji! 💕

  4. Navratri here means abstinence. I abstain from having non veg.

    1. I know Durga puja is famous in Bengal! 💕

      1. Yes, but being brought up in the North I observe Navratri
