Plaster of paris and adulting

What’s a moment when you realized you were officially an adult?

I would call myself a person who riped early in life! I really do not want anyone to rush to adulthood! Adulthood is hard! You do not know what lies in store for you and you do spend most of your life in this stage!

If your child seems to be spoilt or acting goofy, it is fine! Let them enjoy it!

That said, me and my young man, thanks to another blogger tried our hands at a plaster of paris project! I felt like a ten year old and my son who loves hands on activity loved it.

Today morning, the craft came out of the mold! I need to wait two more days for it to dry up completely. We would be painting this week!

All of this will be showcased in my Navaratri Golu!

Adulting is overrated! I plan to get more plaster of paris amd silicon molds! My Amazon delivery guy is going to be busy 🤫🤐

  1. What a delightful and refreshing perspective on adulthood! 😊 I completely agree that “adulting is overrated”—there is something wonderful about allowing ourselves and our children to remain playful, curious, and a little goofy.

I especially loved the story of the plaster-of-Paris project with your son. The fact that you felt like a ten-year-old again while creating something together is perhaps the real magic of childhood—it never completely leaves us; we simply need to make space for it.

  2. The plastering project looks like a lot of fun!

I agree with you about hanging onto our children’s innocence, fun, wonder and yes, mischievousness, as long as we can. Adulthood will be here eventually. So let’s not rush it!

    1. Why loose innocence so fast!

  3. Wow! So artistic!

    1. A very easy project but great results 😀!
