A balance! Passion and obsession.

What are you passionate about?

I have many passions but I have learnt I should not have obsession towards the same.

My travel and trips to National Parks.

My Navaratri Golu collection.

Both are my passions!

But what happens when obsession or even a borderline obsession takes over it can lead to depression and anxiety!

I really didn’t want to rhyme! I am not a poet but the facts must be stated.🙂

I have seen one many talk shows were the audience have become obsessed by the same leaving the family in debt or ignoring the family in all!

Be passionate about your work but do not obsess over it!

Travel has taken me to all these wonderful places and I feel privileged to.

But my local trail is beautiful too!

Passionate about the things I do but not obsessed over it!

  2. This is such a wise and grounded perspective Ganga. I love how you’ve drawn a clear, thoughtful line between passion—which brings joy, energy, and meaning—and obsession, which can quietly tip into exhaustion and loss. Your love for travel, National Parks, and your Navaratri Golu collection feels so genuine because you’ve kept it healthy: you celebrate the extraordinary and find beauty in your local trail. That balance is rare and powerful. Thank you for sharing it with such honesty and a touch of playful rhyme—whether you meant it or not, it made me smile. 😊

  4. There’s a lot of healthy balance in what you’re expressing.
It’s refreshing to see the distinction you’re making between passion and obsession. Enjoying travel, nature, and your collections while still keeping family and wellbeing first is a grounded way to live.
And that last thought is important too – sometimes the simple local trail can be just as meaningful as the big trips.
