My Sous Chef

The past two days has been hot. Me and my young man got the opportunity to prepare the snack that needs sunlight to dry up. The 90 degree sun was not wasted a bit. A well wisher had suggested we make the same inside the garage and move it outside instead of doing it directly in the sun. It worked so good. My young man was so comfortable and I was not struggling with him to be on task.

With the shade my son pressed so fast the job was done in less than 20 minutes.
Half dried ones but the more it gets dried crispier it becomes
Saved them for winter days.

I had to pick a few to sample them to see if they came out good. I was like a kid in a candy shop, a kid on a Christmas morning in the US or an excited kid on a Diwali morning in India or all put together. Yes, they rose up so nice in the oil.

I can now officially declare my son my Sous Chef. So who is a Sous Chef?

Both days, after finishing the task my young man continued to help me in the kitchen and today he asked for a snack that he could eat immediately. He helped me with the same and enjoyed the treat.

Cabbage pakoras

We have a long way to go and for him to become a chef ๐Ÿ˜€ but the title Sous Chef sounds right! Yes second in command in my kitchen!
