What books do you want to read?
When I was little I remember my Grandmother holding big books and reading. She used to discuss small things with me from those books and never in my wildest imaginations did I think, I too would develop interest to the same.
The past decade I have learnt a lot about Hinduism and my religion. Thanks to so many classes that are conducted online. As I look further whatever I have learnt is just a drop in the bucket.
Is there a beginning or an end to learn, I do not think so. The works are not only in Sanskrit but in so many Indian languages. There are the original works, translations and transliterations. Yes, these are the books that I want to read.
Anyway to my own challenge of making dosas with my boy and it was my 9th day. We did Verumarisi Dosai and he was truly motivated. Side dish was spicy coconut powder. I remembered my maternal grandmother making the same every day for my grandfather for breakfast. As soon as my son finished grinding the batter, he rushed to take his bath! He loves this dosai that had a lot of coconut grinded along with the rice.

Every online class I attend is a privilege and I do not take it for granted. When my special boy was in his teens we underwent so many issues with him and I used to sit and pray for a solution. I didn’t know at that time, I would be given so many opportunities to know and learn more about the same. I finish off this blog with a quote from Adi Shankara’s Bhaja Govindam and I am truly grateful for the company I have in these classes and of course the knowledgeable teachers that are taking these classes. 🙏
