Day 2, Road-trip, Driving up North

Saturday morning began in Midland, Michigan. My husband and my younger one were talking that by the end of the day we would have traveled the entire stretch of I 75. I could not understand it since I was busy thinking the menu to feed my boys for the day.

The hotel didn’t have a kitchen but my instant pot is a blessing

Later as we started driving my husband told me that we traveled on I 75 in Florida in spring and that we will cross into Canada as I 75 ends. Ha Ha, we had traveled the southern and northern tip of I 75 😊, not the entire stretch.

View of Lake Huron as we crossed the Mckinaw bridge

We have crossed into Canada multiple times, yet it is always exciting. Being able to travel and able to see new places is not something I take it for granted. It is a privilege.

As I wrote earlier, we had booked a cottage for our stay at Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada. This is our first experience inside a campground. We were nervous about our boy, other than asking us to buy milk for coffee, he seems to have settled in. I think the next three days are going to be fun. The internet is a bit slow and my amazon prime said since I was traveling some of the shows that I watch are not available in this country, I think I have to spend more time out with Mother Nature.😊

Sometimes we do not want to leave our comfort zone. One a cold winter day, we booked this cottage. Ever since me and my husband were worried how it would be since my boy was used to hotel rooms . Even driving down here my husband said if it is not comfortable we can check out and move to a hotel. But that is not the situation thankfully. I think my boy and our family are ready to take these changes in our routines 😀.

Happy Father’s Day to al the Dads . Hope you all have fun. If you had missed my Day 1 here is the link to it.https://specialmomsblog.mom/2023/06/17/day-1-of-our-road-trip-self-regulation/
