Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2023

The past 24 hours have been cold. Let me say cold is an understatement and if you have seen on news about the cold weather in North America, it is completely true. But we were lucky that we did not have more than an inch of snow, but what fell down got completely stuck giving us a White Christmas. The temperature dropped to -3 degrees fahrenheit, that is roughly minus 15 degrees in celsius. The worst part was the wind blowing around minus 30 degrees and we were warned anyone outside for more than ten minutes can get a frostbite. But we have been lucky with electricity and heat and plenty of food stored up. In fact we went to the gym both the days with our boy and got his exercise too. So things have been pretty much normal other than the heater working overtime.

It has been a pretty good year for me blogging wise. I blogged the entire month of January using prompts from WordPress Bloganuary Challenge and in the month of June I did a different activity each day with my special boy and my family and blogged about it. The month of June was definitely hectic since I did an activity and recorded it and it was not only good for me but I found a ton of activities that I could do with my boy. We did travel a lot this summer and had an amazing 1200 mile road trip with our special one. As I completed each task and blogged about it, I felt a sense of self satisfaction and there was no compulsion from anywhere. I did something that made me happy.

I also found so many other bloggers on the blogging world, and what a joy it is read some blogs, poetry and the photographs are amazing. I really enjoyed doing some Photo challenges throughout the year along with some writing challenges. This was a path that was relaxing with no pressure. If I liked a particular prompt I wrote for it or just had fun reading others or just making a comment. It was very cool.

As 2022 closes down, I am going to take a week break from blogging and join back in with Bloganuary 2023. Thank you all for your support in 2022, see you all again in 2023. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2023 to all!

  10. Wow, I’ve never been in temperatures that low. We get down to under 10 degrees F, sometimes in New Jersey, and I cancel everything that involves going outside. Extreme temperature really is dangerous. Stay safe and Happy New Year! xo
