Travel tips!

What’s your best tip for budget travel?

The prompt has reached the right person! We have been traveling the past five years and I can say with confidence I didn’t overspend on any of my travels!

Catching the 5.40 early morning flight, packing snacks from home, traveling with an instant pot, browsing multiple travel videos so I didn’t need to pay money for a travel guide are a few money saving tips from my end!

At the end of the day, for me travel planning is my hobby! The man hours I spend doing is huge but I have that luxury and I enjoy the same so whatever I did was for fun too!

Early morning flights and late night arrival flights are cheap but the body will take a beating! It has it’s consequences. Airbnbs didn’t work for us, so we resorted to stay in one hotel chain. We book a bit far from the destination and save money! Hotels near airports are always cheap. Somethings I learnt by experience!

Will stop now. Maybe in future I may publish a book! I don’t want to reveal all my secrets 🤐😃😃!

  4. Ganga ji, this is gold! 🙌 Five years of travel without overspending is no small feat — and the fact that you actually enjoy the planning process makes it even better. Turning your hobby into savings is a superpower!

The early morning flight tip is so real — cheap on the wallet, tough on the body! And booking hotels a bit away from the destination, plus staying loyal to one chain, are such practical insights that only come from real experience. The instant pot and homemade snacks? Genius level frugal. 😄

Love that you’re keeping some secrets for the book — we’ll be first in line to buy it! 📖✈️ Keep inspiring, and here’s to many more affordable adventures!

  5. Planning for the trip can be just as satisfying as the trip itself – and part of that is trying to find ways to save while still experiencing a great trip! A lot of savings do come from decisions related to hotels and meals!

    1. On the road, my husband searches for cheap gas stations 😀 and it also adds up to savings! A free coffee in a gas station gives immense satisfaction! Yes, it is not the destination alone, it is an entire experience!
