Rubbing shoulders!

Which author would you love to have dinner with?

I really would not want to eat dinner with anyone! In fact I had an opportunity the past winter to dine with two stage speakers very famous and they are writers too in Tamil. I paid extra twenty five dollars to dine with them after their speech! The program organized by Tamil Association here!It was buffet style and I was in the buffet line with them! In fact I had a picture taken with them after dinner. I somehow felt the dinner was occupying their personal space!

Somehow I felt at that point eating dinner with the famous is not my thing 😀! I was glad there was a little girl who kept me entertained and distracted in that situation.

Call me introvert, I think I would pass up on a situation like this from now on even if it is free! I don’t like people looking at my plate nor do I want to judge someone else’s plate 🙂!

Eating out for me she be fun under a very informal and relaxed atmosphere and I do a lot with my family!

By the way, I did write about my experience attending the program! I really do want to attend more programs in the future but definitely a dinner opportunity is a big NO for me from now on!

  1. I think a small group dinner where it’s not just me with the famous person might work well. So there are other people to bounce off with. But I can understand why you’d feel shy!

    1. I think it is hard for me with a plate of food ! Maybe a cup of coffee or tea alone would have made me less shy! I still think I missed the chance talking to her since I had a lot on my mind 🙂! Or maybe I would not and make a fool of myself! But I had fun time with that little girl who didn’t touch her food and was giving excuses to her mom 🤣!
