Yesterday was a trip to a county park in New York! Not a national or a state park just county park! We went on a hike!
My fitbit said I had a 1.7 mile round trip hike though the entrance said 0.59 miles one way!
Huffing and puffing it was a moderate hike but we did it to visit a waterfall which was 99 percent dry! Yet the trail was crowded and people were taking pictures in front of the waterfall!
So what was unique about this fall! The eternal flame 🔥!

Yes, all the work to hike to the falls was to see the eternal flames 🔥! A unique feature of water and fire being together in nature! Spring and late summer would have looked good but we wouldn’t have been so close to the flames.
We went down more than hundred steps and had to walk through a stream which would definitely be hard during winter.
Going down was hard for my young man but going up he did pretty good! We had to jump through some broken trees and seeing tiny tadpoles in the water was just an added feature!
New York State boosts the Niagara. This eternal waterfall is just close to the great Niagara water falls if you do want to visit!

Hope you enjoy the flames virtually!
Life shows us unique things. Science can explain some! This was one of nature’s beauty I got to experience with my son! And yes we did have to work hard to witness the same 🙂!
