The House today passed a bill called Sunshine Protection Act was passed by the US House. If it passes the Senate and gets the President’s approval, sunrise would be around 8.30 come Christmas time for me. Yes, the daylight savings time would be permanent. An interesting piece of news that I would be following for the next couple of days.
Norway’s Haaland returned home with a taxidermy racoon today. I became a fan of this kid during this World Cup. He was doing “chin mudra” in the field during the game and I loved his smile. I am not a soccer person, but I do know I will follow this one for a long time.
The war, the stock market and oil prices seem fluctuating so much, I feel people have become numb to the same. We were at the movies today (five dollar Tuesdays) and it was crowded for a 11 am show. No one cared about spending money for the expensive snacks (our family included). I love the Minions, but I did close my eyes for a good twenty minutes since both the boys were enjoying the same. Please do not ask me for reviews since I did not concentrate on the movie.
The weather is hot and the day ended with an ice-cream. The air-conditioning is running overtime in my house. I am still wondering about the European air-conditioning situation. I asked my mom to read about it. It did give her a distraction from her life. She took the time to read the same.
My husband has been watching highlights of both cricket and football/soccer in the next room. The crowd cheering is definitely different for both the sports.
News media does keep us occupied and informed. How about a day off for them. News, weather, traffic, and sports were something we saw twice a day or just once a day. Now we are over informed. I just wanted to do a post about the daily news and the impact for me and my family. Looks like nothing was urgent today.
One thing that served purpose today was another blogger’s post regarding plaster of paris. I have started researching into plaster of paris crafts. I have a project going on. Most probably it would be me and my son’s August project. It really looks fun.
