Heard about the Gunnison river?

What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever eaten?

We are staying at a tourist town. We had a very expensive medium pizza at Pizza Hut and it is going to take some time for it to digest (the price)? Atleast for the price we paid it was good.

It was an all day driving day and we drove along the Colorado river and checked off our 16th National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison. It is a drive thru park with lot of pull overs and view points.

The Gunnison river cuts along making the canyon path! The canyon walls are steep and there are some portions that do not get any sunlight! I had a tough time looking down but hiking down the canyon is common. There are hikers and mountain climbers who do it.

That is all for today. Maybe another day I will be able to post more pictures.

      This is not that Grand canyon. It is black canyon 🙂!

    That Pizza Hut tax is real—but honestly, after a full day of driving and canyon views, a guilty-pleasure pizza hits different. Sometimes the most delicious thing isn’t about Michelin stars; it’s about the moment. (For me, it was a simple, warm sourdough loaf fresh out of a campfire oven after a rainy hike—pure magic.)

    But wow—16 National Parks! That’s an incredible milestone. Black Canyon of the Gunnison is such a underrated gem. The fact that some walls get zero sunlight is so hauntingly beautiful—it must feel like peering into another planet. I totally get the tough time looking down (heights are no joke!), but just imagining those climbers scaling those steep schist walls gives me chills.

    It sounds like the perfect “windshield tour” day—the Colorado River as your co-pilot and a new park checked off. Can’t wait to see more pictures when you get the chance. Safe travels and keep chasing those views! 🏞️
