The mountains called us!

How important is spirituality in your life?

Yesterday I wrote we are starting a road trip today. The first part of it was flying to Denver. Yes, we are in the Rocky Mountains region.

A three hour flying time and you gain two hours during summer did make today extra fun. Other than known autism moments, we got our National Park passport stamping at the first visitor center.

That said, I saw a sign in the park and the prompt that showed up on my phone did have a relation.

Yes, the nature in Rocky Mountains helps us to spiritually refresh. But for that you need to enter the wilderness 😀!

Had our picnic lunch with this beautiful view but picnic benches were on demand! Had to vacate them fast!
Zoom to see the snow

After a very harsh winter I was even excited to see some snow on top of mountains late June! I think that is the beauty of nature.

All said and done, it is a busy park. It requires timed entry. It has multiple trails and shuttle buses take you around. You see more people than wild life. Maybe we have better luck with wildlife tomorrow?

Made a one mile round trip hike to Nymph lake. We gained 250 feet elevation.
The 0.6 mile loop trail around Bear lake was pretty.

Just a point, we made more steps in airports than in the park 😃🤷‍♀️!

Signing off now and hope to blog again tomorrow!

  2. What a fantastic start to your road trip Ganga! I love how you tied that park sign right back to the prompt—nature really does have a way of hitting the reset button on our souls, doesn’t it? And seeing snow on the peaks in late June is such a magical reminder that mountains play by their own rules.

The airport steps vs. park steps detail made me laugh—that’s the reality of national parks these days! But hey, you got that passport stamp, you breathed in that Rocky Mountain air, and you’re officially in wilderness mode. Tomorrow is a new day for wildlife (fingers crossed for some elk or bighorn sheep!).

Enjoy every moment, and safe travels on the trails ahead! Can’t wait to read tomorrow’s update. 🏔️✨
