When I moved to the US, I was glued to the TV show The Golden Girls. My husband used to tease me saying I was missing my grandparents and that was one reason I was addicted to the same. Maybe he was right in one way, but the girls Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia were not like my grandmothers. An interesting group of girls living together and thirty years forward I am surprised I am their age and I can relate to so many things the girls were talking about.
I still live with my husband, but the group of girls did not have a partner and were dating. Yes, it is a difference but other problems relating to 50 plus issues are common and relatable.
The innocent Rose, the smart Dorothy, her sly Italian mom Sophia and the beauty of them all, the Atlanta girl Blanche will remain in my heart forever.
I have binge watched them multiple times and I even know so many of their dialogues but given a chance would love to watch them all over again.
