Indian movies are full of what you call a masala. I love a good masala one with a good story line, lot of song and dance sequels, a comedy sequel and a final action (fight) scene. The bad guys get arrested and the good one marries his sweetheart.
I would say every day in my household has one thing or other of the above. But there are no specific villains or heroes. The playback singer and the comedian roles may also switch, and the story line would be written by anyone on that particular day.
The drama that happens in my house is what I blog almost every day.
As I keep rambling, I am just trying to think what particular moment, or scene should I narrate and blog?
Two days back, we went out leaving my second kid at home. After coming home, I checked my phone and I saw a small video clipping of our hallway with a weird noise. It was almost 11 pm when I asked him what happened. He said that there was a noise coming out of the attic and it stopped automatically. He said he did not want to alarm us and just recorded the noise for a just in case situation.
The next day me and my young man came back home from his program. We were invited back into our house by my second kid saying the noise was loud. Yup, it was loud and we opened the attic together. Imagine the drama happening here. Very soon we understood it was a fan that was giving out the weird noise. But we both could not figure out where the switch was. My special one was anxious about the open attic steps and me scared about standing on those. We decided to switch off the power, and one portion of the house was without power.
My husband came back from work the power was switched on again. Then my second kid and my husband got up into the attic and switched off the fan and the noise stopped.
The three of us were running around the house up and down with various thoughts in mind and with my husband on the phone from work it was an utter chaos. The maid service had just left the house, and the floor was almost wet, and I was worried one of us would trip down and fall hitting our nose.
That was the drama and a movie moment that happened yesterday. There was tension, anxiety, lot of action and a final resolution. Meanwhile when the power was off for a while, my special one kept moving his fan to a power point that would make it work. His OCD continued and luckily for me, the basement lights were one and we settled ourselves in the basement.
Yes, our life is full of drama and action. Looking back, it was comic, but it was a serious movie situation.
So, for the prompt it is not a twilight angels’ moment but a chaotic few hour drama.
