One day at a time month!

Last blog for the month! I wrote about compartmentalization of my life and it looked like a long time ago but it was on April 13th. The month was very long. My physical therapy was done and I was getting back to myself but the month kept throwing different challenges. Are the problems over? Nope! That is where compartmentalization plays a role. The month of May too looks like that and my head is spinning. I survived April with it’s beautiful spring weather. So with May flowers, going to enjoy them too!

What did I do? Easter weekend we were in the Eastern PA. It was a weekend that said, Man proposes and God disposes. We were technically near South Jersey with so many Indian restaurants and enjoyed it. Yes, did not have that in our itinerary.

Highlight of the month a Gujarati Thali!

We felt the cold air from the Atlantic Ocean hit our face. Yes, we spent two hours at Avon by the Sea! Yes, checked off the bucket list item, New Jersey shoreline.

Atlantic Beach

It was a real surprise when me and my husband spent a lot of time at Valley Forge National Historic Park. General Washington decided to rest his troops here at Valley Forge on December 19, 1777. They stayed until June 19, the following year.

Enjoyed learning about General Washington!

Another National park site we visited was the Hopewell Furnace National Historic site. My young man is now getting comfortable watching the movies being shown in these visitor centers. This was one place we did not do any trail walking because of heavy rain.

An old stove!

There are 63 National Parks and nearly 400 National park sites. We have been to 14 National parks and 18 of the sites in the past two years. Yes, one way of compartmenting issues.

My young man participated in Special Olympics. It was a beautiful day. I enjoyed watching the Special Olympics lamp being lit. How did he do? He was happy he got free coffee and donut other than nothing more to mention! But kudos to him for all the practice he did.

Track Meet!

The rest of the month revolved around grocery shopping, soil shopping for our garden, dealing with electricians, plumbers and attending family advocacy meeting.

I have also cooked with my son every week and made videos of it and he even did a video with his music teacher. We worked on some crafts and we have started hitting our local trails.

I blogged every day. My WP keeps sending me notification I am on a “roll” though I missed my streak with NYT Wordle.

Signing off for April which was long for me. Hoping for a better peaceful May with less drama.
