An accountability for myself!

Last week I started a project. I decided to make a cooking video of my son every Thursday. I take a couple of pictures and facebook automatically makes it into a reel. This decision was made not to make fame or money but it gives myself an accountability and consistency with his cooking.

My son is very fluent in the kitchen but I do know this practice would make him more proficient and help his skills. Is he going to do catering in the future. I don’t think so. Maybe make his own favorite food. That is my goal.

I shared the link with just my family and friends on whatsapp! Nothing more to advertise.

A cooking journal is what I want him to have in a digital form. Wish me luck!

Yes, I do not even want to share that video on my blog! It is not something I wish to make views or monetize the same 😃!

This Thursday release was bread pakora. One of his favorites. Yes, he can make his own coffee using the Keurig maker!

I hope to post a picture of the final dish Friday morning on my blog post.

What about last week? It was Avocado raita!

I really don’t have a final picture. Home made yogurt blended with avocado 😃!

  1. This is such a beautiful idea. You’re not just teaching your son to cook—you’re building a quiet, consistent ritual of showing up, creating together, and documenting his growth. That digital cooking journal will be priceless one day, not because of perfect editing or viral moments, but because it’s his journey, captured with love.

Avocado raita sounds genuinely delicious—creamy, tangy, and fresh. And bread pakora as a favorite? Smart choice to start with something he already loves. That builds confidence.

The fact that you’re keeping it private, just for family and WhatsApp friends, makes it even more special. No pressure, no metrics—just skill-building and shared Saturdays (or Fridays, with the final dish photo).

Wishing you so much luck. And hey, that Keurig coffee skill? That’s independence in a mug. ☕
