It is all sunshine.

Thank you Geetha ji, of Panaecea, Sunshine Spills | panaecea for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award. Geetha ji has been encouraging me with her wonderful comments and even encouraged me to participate in this game. Love her positivity. I pushed myself and tried to make time to answer her questions.

1.If you had to describe your blogging journey in one word what would it be ?
self confidence.
2.How have you evolved as a person through blogging?
I was never an introvert. Loved being with people and talking to all. With my son’s diagnosis I was pushed into a space that was hard for me interact with people. With blogging I was able to come out of a cocoon and evolve into a new person.
3. What is your ultimate aspiration as a blogger?
A lot of special needs parents find themselves guilty if they did something for themselves. If my blog inspires other parents or even one single parent to do something for themselves, I would say I achieved my aspiration.
4. Do you see blogging as a platform distinct from other social media ? Why?
Yes, I see this platform different from other social media platforms. Really do not know why.
5. What is the one thing that bothers you as a blogger?
With the advent of vlogging, blogging has taken a backseat. But I am sure, there are people who love reading and blogging would still be a medium of sharing our thoughts.
6. What is the one thing you miss as a blogger ?
Nothing!
7. Do you think blogging is a marker of social identity?
I do think it is a marker of social identity. My Gen Z kid younger son, a few years ago, in his French class did write his mom was a blogger. I do not know if he reads my blog, but I do know he thinks it is some kind of an identity.
8. Creative satisfaction or popularity ?
Definitely a creative satisfaction. The popularity is just a bonus.
9. How do you maintain blog-life balance?

It has been hard. I really want to read a lot on WordPress and comment but there are days I miss doing it. But I do know life takes priority and I excuse myself. Whenever I find time, I try to read and be connected with other bloggers.
10. Share a comment which has stayed with you?
Off WordPress, I do share my blog on my WhatsApp status. When I receive a personal comment from a person after reading my status on my WhatsApp comment that really stays with me.
11. What according to you facilitates or enhances blogging ?
A positive comment or like enhances blogging.
12. What advice would you give to new entrants to blogging ?
A wonderful and easy platform. A space to share your thoughts. Do not look for medals but your words would be recognized one day.

My nominations for this award are:

Aparna chillicupcakes

Milena Alien why I quit my job.

  3. Are your family and friends supportive of your online presence?
  4. Podcasts and Youtube are more popular now. Do you think you will shift platforms and abandon blogging?
  5. Pictures are a great add on. Do you think without pictures blogging would be boring?
  6. Are you a big screen or a small screen person?
  7. Given a choice of music or sports on small screen what would you watch?
  8. Are you a cook or a person who loves to eat?
  9. How do you find time to blog and comment on other bloggers?
  10. Do you think our future generations would love to read our blogs? Since everything is digital maybe fifty or hundred years from now.

  4. What a cute! I participated in initiatives of this kind several times, in 2010 and 2011, through my photoblog. I was away from blogs for several years and it was with pleasant surprise that, through this post, I saw that this type of initiative continues :). Congrats!

  7. It’s nice to learn more about you and your family, Ganga. I too love the blogging medium, vs podcasting or vlogs. There’s something intimate about it and especially when I connect with other caregivers on a similar journey.

Thank you for the Sunshine Blogger nomination. I’m less of a frequent blogger but I will for sure answer your thoughtful questions in a future post! 😊🌞
