An Icy February comes to an end

They said the planets aligned on the 28th of February in the night sky. I could go out for a second and watch the starry skies but could not find any planets with my naked eye. But enjoyed that blanket stars and the snow that had melted and the freezing cold that was long gone.

My phone took this beautiful picture to end February!

February was good blogging wise with me blogging every day. Thanks to some bots I got some views too! Ha Ha, who would read my very old blogs other than bots.

The big snowstorm of January was followed by a three-week period of below freezing temperatures. We visited Erie and saw the frozen lake. Pittsburgh has three rivers and all of them were frozen. But on the day when the temperatures rose above the freezing mark, we took a two mile walk along the Allegheny River.

Lake Erie with a no swimming sign!
The frozen Allegheny River
The sea gulls were bickering with each other on the ice!

Temperatures are now above freezing point, and I do not think the rivers or the lakes are going to be frozen. I am glad that I took the walk and visited the lake. The winter was harsh, but I think I made the best of it. So, enjoy the last of my winter pictures from the shores Lake Erie to the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh.

February 27th with no snow or ice on the trails!

What does March have in store for me? Just need to take one day at a time, enjoy and experience the good and bad.
