Tulips

The mall center court was beimg set up for Easter bunny pictures! A huge windmill and a lot of artificial tulips were the props. Crew were still working and I enjoyed rhe scenary. Though not real, the bright colors definitely made me smile.

Every year around this time, I see a lot of advertisements on social media about farms hosting tulip festivals. In fact there is a place in Michigan called Holland and they mimic the Holland in Europe during this time.

We do travel a lot. Do a ton of things with my young man every weekend. I keep thinking why I have not been to one of these festivals?

The answer maybe it doesn’t last long and it happens for a few weeks. It is not close to home and is time bound! Maybe I am not interested in tulips? I would say I am not that crazy interested to plan a trip that is time bound! I think that maybe the reason.

One of my bucket list items is to see Yosemite National Park’s firefall! The sun set falls on the falls and the light reflects in a way the falls look like a fire fall. This happens just once a year in February and is a crowded event. So again, a time bound activity with crowds which really makes me want to not push myself towards it.

Unlike firefall a tulip festival in a farm I think is much doable. Now that I penned it down maybe I will put in an effort to find a field and take some pictures!

Just musing about tulips 🌷!

  2. Such a delightful reflection—your musings bloom just like the tulips you describe. I love how you turn an ordinary mall moment into a gentle meditation on joy, timing, and what truly draws us. Your honesty about crowds, curiosity, and quiet wonder makes this feel warm, relatable, and beautifully human. It’s the kind of piece that leaves a soft smile behind. 🌷
