A conplaint and a solution?

What do you complain about the most?

My constant complaint has been of the critters in my garden! So last year tried planting marigolds to keep them away. So this is part two of the formal conplaint I lodged a couple of years ago.

Did they leave my garden? I don’t think so. I had sowed some peas and they got to it. I had been really upset all summer. Meanwhile the marigolds took over my vegetable patch and just smiled at me. Looks like they had an agreement with the bunnies!

I have decided not to complain anymore. I am going to let you know a secret. Few days back I placed some rice on betel/pan leaves outside my house. It is a tradition during this month. Usually I place the food on paper plates and I have all the food eaten. But when I placed them along the pan/betel leaves I noticed no critters. Do they hate the smell of these leaves.

I think I have hit on a jackpot for my critter solution. I think I need to order betel leaves, a climber and place it around the garden. Thinking about this plan is making me excited 😀!

Ha Ha, I am not complaining about the weather. The roads are clean, things are back to normal. Just need to bundle up! I just need to worry about my summer garden project!

Green tomatoes hidden. Wonderful to check out the garden pictures today! 😀

  3. This is such a charming and relatable post! I love how you share your gardening adventures with humor, honesty, and a touch of cultural insight. The way you describe the marigolds “smiling” at you while the bunnies feast is delightful—it makes the whole garden feel alive and mischievous.
