Scented candles and storm prep!

Woke up to fresh snow cover! Finally the snow storm is here.

As we picked up water and milk yesterday I remembered a storm last May when we lost power overnight. I had to burn candles which irritated my husband. Yes, I just had scented candles and multiple scented candles are not pleasant. But they did serve the purpose.

Fast forward today, I just have a lot of scented candles around the house and if by any reason the power fails we are going to smell like that again. Remember the sun sets early in winter and they need to burn a lot. Didn’t feel like investing in unscented candles! Keeping fingers crossed for no power failures.

Dealing with my young man is a whole different ordeal! The next forty eight hours just need to take one hour at a time handling my man.

Looks like it is going to be a long day! Just ride this storm out.

  4. Stay safe! Something you may consider for future power outages is solar-charged inflatable lantern. We’ve been using for power outages for ~12 years and really love them.
