Throwback Tuesday

It is a very cold morning.

Temperature in centigrade!

Kids are having a two hour delay and some schools went remote instruction. I remember when my kids were in school when my younger one enjoyed these days. My older one got confused with the delay start. As a parent I enjoyed it since I had an extra hour of sleep and extra time to pack lunch boxes.

Time flies! The kids are grown! Lots have changed. But when I see the delay messages flashing on TV screen it brings back memories.

Just need to keep enjoying the present.

  2. What a tender, relatable reflection. ❄️
You captured that quiet magic of delayed mornings—the small joys parents feel, the way children experience time so differently, and how something as simple as a scrolling TV message can unlock a whole vault of memories. There’s warmth in the nostalgia, a gentle ache in realizing how fast life moves, and a beautiful gratitude woven through it all. Moments like these remind us that even ordinary disruptions become cherished chapters later on. Truly heartfelt and comforting to read.

  3. Happiness is temps shared in Celsius. I’ve only a vague idea when reading the numbers in Fahrenheit. Looking very chilly. Happiness is a scarf and toque.
