Out in my yard!

In between the dead of winter we experienced a heat wave the past week.

It felt really good and we were outside during sunset.

Yes, for a change it was not cloudy or rainy but clear skies to experience this beauty.

Did the plant get confused? I saw these two leaves? 🤔

But I enjoyed the empty nest on this bare tree behind my house.

The nest on the top left corner seems to be permanent. The birds seem to have found their comfort zone. We are a loud family and yet they stay. My special young man is really loud but he doesn’t harm anyone. The birds know this.

The clouds do move in and the temperatures are going to drop. I am glad I enjoyed yesterday evening out in my yard! I hope you do too!

  1. We had 11 degree warm weather yesterday too (but 80 km/h winds) and so strange for January. It was nice though! 😁

  2. This is a lovely, gentle reflection on noticing small moments of beauty in everyday life. Your observations about the unexpected warmth, the quiet sunset, and the birds’ nest create a sense of calm and gratitude. There’s something especially touching about how you describe sharing space with nature—even in a busy, noisy household—and recognizing that comfort and coexistence can still thrive. A warm, peaceful read that reminds us to savor fleeting moments when they appear.
