Life lessons

What skills or lessons have you learned recently?

The New York Times Games made the mini crossword paid one when I tried opening it today. I think they will slowly reel all the other games like Wordle into paid category. Lesson learnt, nothing is free in this world.

Yesterday I opened a packet of beetroot chip or should I say started eating an already opened up beetroot chips that was airfried and not deep fried. The status of the chips bad was no one had touched it since Friday. Understood the reason after I munched a few. Lesson learnt, oil makes chips tasty.

With early sunsets and cold weather I have started binge watching or glued to front of a television . From movies to shows time flies. Lesson learnt, I can engage myself even in ice cold weather!

Life keeps teaching us lessons everyday and these are a few got the past few days.

  1. I’ve never heard of the term vacuum cooked! How interesting. Will have to look up exactly what this means!

    1. I thought it was air fried and they were the same. Almost but not 100 percent. One is commercial and the other is for home cooking. Anyhow taste is not great like deep fried chips!

  2. What beautiful reflections. You’ve captured those small, everyday moments that hold so much truth.

The way you connected each experience to a lesson feels gentle and wise —
from the reminder that good things often come with a cost,
to the simple fact that a little indulgence (like oil on chips!) is part of enjoyment,
to finding warmth and escape in stories when the world outside grows cold.

Life really does teach through the ordinary, and you have a wonderful way of noticing.

Thank you for sharing these thoughtful moments. May your days continue to be full of such mindful learning — and maybe a perfectly crispy snack now and then. 💙🌿

  3. I’m hooked on Wordle and its sister game Connections but it’s getting pricy.

I’m always on the hunt for the perfect Chip!
