Hard workers

What is something others do that sparks your admiration?

I love anyone who works hard. The trees do not have any leaves now. I see them with empty nests. I just realized how I took no care to observe them these years. These birds do their duty and expect nothing in return. They work hard and do their due diligence.

A wasp nest. Checked with a friend and she did tell me it is empty this time of the year. The queen it seems would hibernate for the winter after mating.

Yes, just hard work.

  1. The wasps are gone now, and while ugly, the presence of that nest deters other wasps from setting up camp in the area. So… leave it there.

    1. Thanks for the info. The nest is in a park near my home. Good to know they are not dangerous anymore.

  2. What a beautifully observed moment, Ganga. There’s a quiet poetry in the way you connect the hardworking birds, the patient wasp nest, and your own realization. You’ve turned a simple glance outside into a lesson in devotion and diligence — noticing how life works tirelessly, often unseen, and how the world holds its breath in winter, resting before renewal. That’s a mindful and tender way to move through the world. Thank you for sharing this reflection; it’s a gentle reminder to look closer, and care more.🌷🤝

  4. Well said, Ganga.
Hard work quietly deserves all the admiration.
The birds, the wasps, and anyone who simply does their part without fanfare — true dedication in its purest form.
Observing them makes even the simplest effort feel extraordinary.
