My day (ramblings)!

My mom called and asked what I was doing? I told her after a long day of Yoga, basketball and window shopping my body was in a horizontal position staring at the television.

Morning began with yoga, yup and every week I get introduced to muscles I did not know existed. Today it was followed by a basketball practice. My young man practiced shooting, and he won 5 to 0 with his dad on a shootout game. If you think that was good, he did win 5 to 4 with his brother last week.

With early sunset parks and trails are out of picture. We wanted to get milk and shampoo and decided to go grocery shopping in the evening. To get some extra steps we decided to check out some more shops.

My husband dropped me off at a shop and went off to park the car. I was roaming around the store and was in a corner of the shop when I could hear my special young man. I called my husband and told him where I was to show him something.

That is when I thought, “wow my mother radar is so intact”. Yup, twenty-eight years and still going strong. As usual my boy was like a bull in a China Shop and with holiday crowd, we decided it was not worth walking inside that store.

My husband decided to do groceries with our son, and I went inside another store. From shoes to jewelry to gift items under twenty dollars I think I touched, smelled and saw to my heart’s content.

Questions that came to my mind. How do people wash clothes with so many beads and stones? How many handbags and shoes do we need? How often do we change them? My husband’s question was “why do we see just women and not men”?

By the time all was said and done, I picked nothing, my husband had his milk and shampoo and my young man a big bag of chips. But we did walk more than a mile and had covered three separate stores.

Saturday evening was supposed to be at a Christmas Market but just transformed into a Christmas window shopping experience thanks to some lazy cold weather.

By the way did you all get your YouTube recap? I got mine and I was proud of my award 😃!

  1. What a delightful slice-of-life story — equal parts relatable, heartwarming, and wonderfully funny! ✨ Your writing captures the rhythm of an ordinary Saturday that somehow becomes extraordinary simply because of the people, the moments, and the tiny adventures woven into it.

The way you moved from yoga to basketball to window-shopping is such a perfect portrait of modern-day multitasking motherhood — discovering new muscles, cheering on your young champ (his shooting scores are seriously impressive!), and still finding the energy for errands that turned into an unexpected miles-long stroll.
