In the wild!

Do you ever see wild animals?

If chipmunks, squirrels and rabbits that live in my yard are considered wild, I would say, yes they are my friendly (not so friendly) neighbors and I have a love hate relationship with them. All summer I see them!

One time, we did call the gas agency since we smelled something bad. An odor that caused a scare in us. Looked like it was a skunk 🦨! Nope, didn’t see but the impact still lingers.

The deers show up in my yard once a while but we see them more often on the trails we walk and the roads we drive. I think not many see them. Looks like it is a huge privilege for us.

Raccoons 🦝 are rare but have seen one and it did topple my flower pot! Sorry no picture. We scared each other and picture opportunity didn’t present itself.

This pelican demanded food when we were on a trip in Florida! He was more attracted to the person who was fishing. I think he was lazy to fish. Or is it a she?

The geese and their baby lings (?) are common around the water sources we visit. They have also stopped traffic on our local road. How dare they?

The disappointment of the year was we didn’t see a bear on our trip to the Smoky Mountains. It seems they were still hibernating! So had to be satisfied with him instead! But we could take a lot of pictures.

Of course Mr. Bear was all dressed up and ready to have visitors inside Gatlinburg mall!

  1. Lovely photos – that pelican is adorable. I love the ducklings and goslings – they’re so fluffy, though you have to watch out for the geese parents – they’re feisty.

Sorry about the bear, though the fellow you did meet seems nice.
