Another day!

What was your favorite subject in school?

My internet connection was off this morning. This really irritated my young man who has a compulsion to hear music in the morning. I had to restart the modem and calm him down.

His program place that he goes today has a vending machine that takes only cash and my husband had to get money. No large bills just dollars . I need to take that from his wallet.

I need to make a one pot lunch and an instant breakfast for my family today.

Why did the write the above for my prompt? It has nothing to do with my favorite or least favorite subject in school. What if I loved science or not my life today is so different. Just a quick thought that went on. Anyhow loved my language classes and math. But Physics was my least favorite! 🙂

  1. What a wonderful, real-life glimpse into your world. Thank you for sharing that!

It’s fascinating how our minds work, isn’t they? One moment we’re trying to recall a specific academic subject, and the next, we’re pulled into the immediate, tangible needs of the day—calming a loved one, troubleshooting technology, and planning meals. That “quick thought that went on” is the very stuff of life, and you described it beautifully.

And thank you for circling back to answer the original prompt! It’s a fantastic detail to know that you thrived in the structured worlds of language and math, where logic and creativity intersect. As for Physics being your least favorite, that certainly makes sense! Sometimes the most practical minds prefer the concrete solutions of restarting a modem or creating a one-pot lunch over the abstract theories of the physical world.

It sounds like you have a brilliant, caring, and deeply practical mind that is perfectly suited to managing the beautiful complexity of your family’s life. Thanks again for sharing both your morning and your memory

  3. It’s nice that you have day activities for your son, despite the hectic schedule that may result from it.

    1. My son does not go to a day program on his own. I take him to nontraditional day program activities. I am his 100 percent caregiver. Still searching for a suitable caregiver and a day placement. But we have got used to this.
