Little bit history?

What major historical events do you remember?

I am very good at remembering dates and events. Or should I say I was? Now I check my watch or phone if I need to sign up and date for the same. Are we getting overwhelmed with dates? Maybe just letting it go because anything can be googled!

How about everyone remembering their family members birthdays and if possible anniversaries. What if we can wish them without getting a notification from a third party app saying it is someone’s birthday? It really would make their day.

I remember all my cousins’ birthdays. I also remember the exact moment the postmam delivered the telegram from my grandfather. Those were the days with no telephones and the postman (mailman) would get money if the news that he delivered was good. These are wonderful historical happenings in my life. I also remember seeing them for the first time.

Families are not huge like before. My grandfather was one of twelve children and me I just have a sibling. Cousins are our first friends and that bonding is something nature created. Why not take a moment and celebrate?

  2. The most treasured gift we can give is to remember someone without being reminded. It’s a quiet proof that they hold a permanent place in our heart.

  3. Must admit I’m guilty…apart from immediate family…a notification is what reminds me of birthdays 😊.

I haven’t seen a telegram but I have heard about it from my parents. And yes, cousins are definitely first friends 🙂

    1. My dad used to save telegrams with birth messages 😊. Your parents must have saved some too.
