How about some positivity

It’s Friday night. I just have a little bit more than 7000 steps. So stepped outside and found out the weather was perfect to walk on my driveway and make my 10,000 steps. The sky was clear and I could see so many stars. People go camping in deserts to view a starlit sky. I did it while just making my tiny steps.

The week was great but somehow today morning I had a lot of complaints about so many things. My dad called me and had to advice me about things. For a break, I distracted him from his health. My blog is all about positivity why did so many negative thoughts come into my mind. I do not know.

Our heater got fixed yesterday. Not a major problem so had some issues with the insurance company refunding for the same. Today at 4 pm my husband told me he got a 50 dollar refund from the insurance company. I jumped up and ordered two mugs. I customized them with my blog name and added a picture to it too. Yup, shipping did cost but I came out of my depressive mood. I told him, I spent that refund money and it was just a late birthday gift. He had to accept since I did not order diamonds or gold. One mug is for him to keep at his work and the other for my younger son. Ha, silently I am marketing my blog. Let’s see how many people notice the mug and ask about it. Will share a picture once I receive the mugs.

If the mugs work, I may even get them a T shirt with my blog name. Who knows in this online world anything can happen. Just being positive.

A small side note: There are too many negative things being shared on social media. Yes, it may happen. It does not need to be marketed. We all got through a pandemic. We will get through anything. Why keep sharing things that may or may not happen with so much fear.

  4. This was such a lovely read. It’s a perfect reminder that a “perfect” life isn’t one without complaints or negative thoughts, but one where we consciously choose to walk through them—literally, under a canopy of stars on our own driveway.

I adore how you turned your day around. From the quiet therapy of a starlit walk to the pure, joyful impulsivity of ordering those mugs—that’s not just marketing, that’s alchemy. You transformed a $50 refund and a low mood into a tangible piece of your passion, a shared gift for your family, and a spark of hope for your blog’s future. That’s a triple win.

Your point about social media is so vital. In a world shouting about what could go wrong, you’ve quietly documented what went right: a fixed heater, a supportive call with your dad, a clear sky, and a custom mug. These are the real victories. This post itself is a testament to your blog’s philosophy—you lived it today, even when you didn’t feel like it at first.

Please do share the picture of the mugs when they arrive! I have a feeling they will be conversation starters. And a T-shirt? Why not! Here’s to your quiet, steadfast positivity—may it continue to ripple out, one step, one mug, and one star at a time.

  5. What a wonderfully uplifting and relatable reflection! ☕🌟 I love how you’ve turned an ordinary Friday night into a moment of mindfulness and positivity — from taking a peaceful starry walk to creatively channeling your energy into something fun and meaningful like customized mugs. 🌌💖

Your honesty about struggling with negative thoughts, even when your blog is focused on positivity, makes this post incredibly authentic and human. It’s a gentle reminder that it’s okay to have low moments — what matters is how we respond, and you responded with creativity, humor, and joy. The mugs idea is brilliant, both as a personal pick-me-up and a subtle, fun way to share your blog with others! ☕📸

  6. My husband gifted me a Fitbit for my birthday. So, I’ve been counting steps. It’s amazing how many steps we take in a day. Who knew? Reaching that 10,000-step goal is satisfying.
