Is it going to be a success or a failure?

Write about your most epic baking or cooking fail.

My Navaratri invites are all sent out. I added a twist to the invite. Every guest coming on any day will have a boxed snack from Ani’s kitchen. Why did I do that? I had to start somewhere if I want to take my “special young man’s” cooking to the next level.

His weakness is food and his strength is cooking. Am I challenging myself in this task? Yee of course I am. This is the only time of the year I welcome guests into my home. It is a great opportunity for him to work.

So is it going to be an epic success or a failure? Will let you know after Navaratri.

Anyhow it is going to be more than traditional sundal (chickpeas) that will be served in these boxes. And yes, it would be done every single day beginning September 22nd to October 2nd

Since I have this challenge, I am not participating in any competitions for the doll display. I think making my son cook and make boxes are much more worth my time and effort 😊

My man making besan chilla. Yup, no onions during Navaratri and it would be Satvik food.

  1. What a heart-warming and inspiring post! 🌟
You’ve woven together tradition, creativity, and love in such a meaningful way — turning Navaratri into not just a celebration, but a stage for Ani’s talent to shine. Inviting guests with a personal touch of home-made snack boxes is such a thoughtful idea, and your courage to experiment beyond the familiar sundal makes it even more special.

i got my invitation Uma. I am looking forward to coming to see what beautiful scenes I will see this year. Why no onion though? Just wondered.
