A personal step forward 🙏

Today I received my Sanskrit exams results. I successfully completed Kovida. The last of the four exams conducted by Samskrita Bharati USA. They now have an easier option to complete the cycle, yet I decided to go on the regular route and I finished it. Thanks to my very sincere teacher and her guidance. I started this journey in 2018 and it just took me 7 years to finish 4 exams 😀. Anyway I did it!

What next was my husband’s question? He then said, anything that does not give you pressure like an exam. Yes, he is right. I talked to my teacher and there are multiple self learning websites. Yes, I may not be that sincere but my Sanskrit/ Samskritam learning will continue.

Verse 3 from Saundaryalahari

I offer my prostrations to Mother Goddess and my Guru without their grace I could not have achieved this. Adi Shankara’s work Soundaryalahari has always been close to my heart. This summer me and my husband were able to offer our samarpanam to our Guru together. My examinations in May and the offering in July felt like they were weaved in together, though it was a journey in itself today it looks like I can face anything in this world. A step forward in my spiritual journey .

My younger son stayed with his brother in a hotel room and watched the event being broadcast live on Youtube. The screenshot which he took that day of our Guru blessing us would always be the best picture of all.

Thank you for ref Adi Shankara for gifting the world such a powerful verse, where in just a few lines he shows the Mother Goddess as light, nectar, treasure, and ultimate savior of all beings. 🙏🙏🙏
