Little about my great grandmother

Interview someone — a friend, another blogger, your mother, the mailman — and write a post based on their responses.

I call my mom everyday. Yup, I interview about her health and give her pep talk. I want her to keep moving. A long work week came to an end and every task was checked off. Yes, I talk to her in detail about it and I think she acquired some general knowledge about certain things that we did. I will also quiz her about it. My brother got her a book to solve puzzles for old people. My way is to tell her a news and quiz her back a week later 🙂. Anyhow I would say it is a privilege to talk to your mom every day and I do not take it lightly.

Anyhow an interesting topic came up yesterday about her maternal grandmother. She was a brave lady and I would say my mom didn’t inherit anything from her and we both laughed about it. I remember her telling me how she used to sell butter milk using her back door and generating extra income. Yes, they had cows and sold milk which was kept by her grandfather. But grandma had her source of income on the side. Talk about women’s rights. She implemented it silently.

I never get bored talking to old people and now I am middle aged I feel no one this generation has any questions about the era I grew up. Yes, everything is available online and chatgpt can give you anything and everything but the warmth of people relationships is something missing.

My interview is on a daily basis so I may just throw something from that whenever a suitable prompt shows up.

I never drink Starbucks coffee. It is strong. But yesterday at 5.30 pm we all needed it. Yes the long work week is done.
