What do you love about where you live?
We wanted to explore more of New River Gorge National Park and decided we need to stop while returning back from Congaree National Park.
Varuna Bhagvaan or Rain God has not been in our favor all weekend. As we parked in one of the main attraction of the park that lead to multiple trail heads we were cordially received with rain. Thanks to the ponchos we bought yesterday we were able to snap pictures and leave the place dry.

My husband did give me a science lesson as how higher elevations can get heavy summer rains (condensation and so on, of course I slept through my physics class why would I not sleep now) we found a one mile easy trail on a lower elevation. My young man was not happy about all the change in plans but we did sweat a lot of water due to humidity and did more than a mile. My fitbit did show we walked 1.66 miles.

This short trip threw in lot of curve balls but at the end of the day, was one for our memory.
As we walked the the trail I was thinking home and all the trails near us. I am so thankful for all the trails since it has really helped our family to be on the move especially my young man.
Yes I love all the trails close to my home and I feel blessed.
