When in need!

What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal? Was it worth it?

25 dollar veggie burgers and fry at Grand Canyon West

We travel a lot. But I carry my instant pot. But then as the days go, the kids get bored and we get succumbed to their cravings and that is how we go them a plate of veggie burgers and fries at Grand Canyon West for 25 dollars. The coffee and cake did not come cheap. But yes, the view from the restaurant was beautiful.

Then again at Mammoth Cave National Park, my young man did so good inside the cave tour we did get him a cheese sandwich for 12.99. I searched for a picture of the expensive cheese sandwich but I am unable to find it. My young man loves to dine in. He goes into what we call “Mauna” or silence. He enjoys the atmosphere so much. One reason we do not get take out food but prefer dine in all the time.

Appearances do add value and that is what happened to this cheesecake

Then recently at Hot Springs National Park we stayed at a hotel with room service. You get tempted by the list of sweet stuff on the menu. At 9.30 pm we put in the order for chocolate cheese cake. My young man had never experienced this service and I think he was pleasantly shocked. My husband who had already slept was also shocked by the price 😀!

Food is a need but sometimes it is comforting. It gives us joy and our brain needs that comfort. I applaud people who have restaurants at strategic locations and we fall prey yo them 😀!

  1. Mauna is such a beautiful name 😁
But you say it’s silence and I wonder in what language is called mauna 😊

  3. Ganga, such a delightful read 🌟. From grand canyon burgers to late-night chocolate cheesecake, those moments sound priceless—especially with the young man’s quiet joy and the surprise on the husband’s face 😄. Comfort food really does feed both the heart and the brain.
