It was kind of like a snow day for me! ๐Ÿ˜€

How do you practice self-care?

Few days back I wrote a post on โ€œthings that are therapeutic โ€œ, thanks to my friends who pinged with suggestions. Love them all and even my dad did comment on my facebook page saying for him watching a train was therapeutic! Isnโ€™t that all self care?

The weekend was busy, hectic and hot! So I decided to have a โ€œsnow dayโ€ for me and my young man! Yup, on a hot weather day we decided to unwind in an air conditioned home! We had food in the fridge and decided to do nothing! My sonโ€™s caseworker visited him and said we deserved this relaxed day ๐Ÿ˜‚!

Unlike a snow day, I was outside the home every hour enjoying the plants (those that have not been touched by my bunnies). I walked a few steps around the garden and took in the heat.

Then it was lunch and a long nap. I think by 4 pm my body was ready to come out of self care zone. My brain started making plans for dinner and when I took the onion out, my young man rushed to my side! Yup, he was ready to cook.

Bombay chutney a very easy side dish

After dinner and around sunset went for a walk which I could have not done on a snow day. Yes, people complain about hot weather but I am fine with the hot weather around sunset time. I have too many bucket list places in India to visit and if I complain about this hot day I canโ€™t make it happen.

My son took a detour on his walk and we found him throwing his empty chips packet in the trash! Felt happy ๐Ÿ˜€!

That is all for a self care day!
