Father’s Day and Waterfall Trail

What’s the oldest thing you own that you still use daily?

We live in a house built in the early seventies. The house is a work in progress and we keep changing things! We have changed everything except the stove! Hint to my husband 😀! Yup and I use that every day!

Okay, today was Father’s Day and the last day of my trail challenge! My kids wished their dad in the car and off we went to have breakfast outside. It was crowded than usual and my special man didn’t get his regular booth seat! He then had a date with his brother and me with my husband in different areas. That was it celebrating as a family 😀! The line was long inside and the drive thru longer. Then, I requested my younger one to join my challenge and he politely said “no”.

We then dropped him off and drove to a new trail ( recommended by a good friend).

I am not going to write much about the trail but share pictures.

The start of the trail
On the way
A beautiful waterfall down the hill
And a stream
We climbed up 25 floors according to my husband’s fitbit
These were easy steps!
1.68 miles on the trail
The sound of water and the falls after the rain therapeutic

To reflect on my experience, it was something I did for myself and my boy and my husband were just my buddies. I also didn’t sacrifice anything at home even when I did the daily walks. I did grocery one day before the trail and one day after the trail. Today after I came home I had to prepare a whole meal (my husband helped 😀).

I am really happy that I am beginning summer on a great note.
