What notable things happened today?
Today was my fifth day of walking on a trail. My goal or tiny challenge this week was to walk on different trails for a week . So day five done and dusted.
But it was not an easy day. We had rains in the morning and the weather became humid. So we decided to hit the ice-cream trail. When you have an ice cream shop on the trail, it becomes ice cream trail and my special young man’s pace was fast! A flat bike trail without any obstacles or elevation gain, we were back home before the evening rains showed up.

We had done another part of the same trail on Tuesday and did the same two mile walk, but that was much slower. You can check all about that here. The ice cream shop does add value to our walks and hikes.

The trails need to be maintained. In fact on yesterday’s trail we found a broom attached to a tree. My younger one did a 5k last Saturday to raise money for the Montour Trail and Congratulations to him, he came in first overall with a timing of 17.22. It was raining and the trail was wet and nearly 200 people ran the race. As I walked the trails, I thank the people maintaining the trails.

So, how am I doing with the schedule. It is hard. Usually Fridays, I stay home and do my 10,000 steps around my yard. But I had to drag myself off. Anyhow two more days of my challenge to go. Will let you know how it goes, since we have rains on the forecast for the weekend.

By the way no ice cream pictures, since I didn’t have one. My cappuccino was so good that I didn’t feel the need to have an ice cream.
