What are you good at?
It looks like I am good at keeping track of myself. I took a social media break and I somewhat achieved it. I did call my mom and share pictures on facebook but I was not involved much like checking my phone every two minutes . I just switched off the social media apps and it worked out great!
The weekend (it was a long weekend) turned out wonderful . I think officially our family has joined the cult that visits National Parks. Yup, got our first stamp and cancellation stamp at Mammoth National Park this weekend.

Our journey to National Parks and sites kicked off March 2024 and this was our 6th park. We are not wetting our feet anymore but have started swimming with the cult 😃!

After multiple research we made the 2hr Historic tour inside the caves which was 2 miles long, 300 feet underground and we had to climb back 550 steps ! First time in my life I felt happy being short. I didn’t need to bend myself much inside the cave😂! My husband told me that I had found my calling 🤣!
We also visited Abraham Lincoln’s birthplace making it our sixth National Parks site. My mom remembered a lesson I had in 2nd grade about Abe Lincoln when I called as we were leaving. The birthplace is similar to his memorial at DC except this was built before and houses a cabin.

With multiple trails in both these places we did get our fair share of exercise.

Now as I think, am I good at planning stuff for my autistic son that my other members of the family come along with me and support me? Maybe I am. I should feel good about myself. Yes these trips cost money, energy and time. A lot of homework needs to be done. I also should be in a mindset that things can change and I have to be prepared to accept that. Yes, it is also a wonderful learning experience for me.
Meanwhile we got a new addition to our family. We got ourselves Bucee the beaver from a Bucee’s! He will be traveling along with us to all the National Parks and our family has really bonded with him 😀!

By the way, it was really hard to take any pictures inside the cave since flash photography was restricted and whatever we took did not come out good. Yes, it is a memory that has to stay without pictures like good old days!
