Are they sacrifices or choices

What sacrifices have you made in life?

We all make decisions all through our life. It is for the greater good of our family. When my son was young, my peers around me were trying to qualify themselves and find a job one way or another. Yes, even with a child they were able to do it. But with a special child, I knew that was hard. I was the “on call person” for my special kid.

Should I call it a sacrifice? It was a choice that needed to be made given my circumstance. Of course there were times, I have thought what would have happened if my son was typical or what would have happened if I had to go for workforce with my ND kid?

Over the years, I found things I could do for myself. In fact I got opportunity to work with my son and nothing has gone according to any plan. Yes, I didn’t expect to earn a paycheck working for my son. Isn’t life interesting?

My brain from a young age was tuned to be a working woman. And I did the work at home. Of course my house is a corporate with so many departments and I am the CEO, CFO and even the CTO! 😀

  2. I love the way you look at your life and running your daily home life like a CEO. It is true. Exceptional caregiving is hard work… hard unpaid work but the return on investment is rewarding.

As someone who worked in special education! I am humbled by this post! My adopted daughter came into my life because of that! It’s a story that well, you would have to read for yourself to understand it.
It’s a long story, a story that most won’t believe but, rarely happens, and coparenting with a parent a single parent who doesn’t really take the time to understand his own daughter is now that I read your post a blessing that I came into her life to help her and, I should embrace this! If you want to hear the full story and more, you can visit my about Paige on my website! And or you can contact me as well!
