I had a National Park Services app downloaded on my phone. This shows all the parks, monuments and historic sites. Once you visit a park, you can make a check off saying visited.
Today, the app asked me to update the same. As soon as it was updated it asked me to give permission to access my photos. Usually I do not give access to anything when an app asks me. But somehow I just gave the app permission.
Within few seconds, my app was filled with pictures from all my trips to National parks, monuments and sites.
Interesting point was the pictures I thought were taken in Everglades were safely made into a folder called Big Cypress National Preserve and not Everglades. Yes, it seems we didn’t touch National Park Area. It also made folders of other Historical sites which we didn’t even know came under National Park Service.
So, was it good or bad? I really do not know. The speed with which the pictures were organized was amazing. But I am worried did I share something with the world out easily I do not know. I know the app is mine, yet it felt as if an outsider knew my life!
Only time can tell if AI is good or bad!
