My dad came to help me out when I had a surgery when my son was 5 years old. He kept calling him Sthitaprajna. I didnβt care from where he was quoting but my dad said this kid does this things with no return results or is so contented with small things. Yes, when you have an autistic kid he may look like he has renounced everything in this whole wide world. Anyway years later is when I realized my dad was quoting from Bhagavad Gita.
Anyway today we successfully finished our mile at Pittsburgh Marathon. The Champion Mile! We have done 5ks and this was easy but it really helped my so called Sthitaprajna to enjoy the whole experience. Right from picking up the packet yesterday at the convention center, waiting in the lane with so much sound and enjoying the atmosphere to walking one of the Pittsburgh bridges to finishing the race and getting the medal and last but not the least enjoying an icecream at the after party festivities.
We used all the props around to take pictures and came home hungry.
Couple of notes about me. I never played a single sport in school. Attended PT classes since it was compulsory. Me, putting an alarm (not a morning person) and getting the entire troop ready is a credit to myself.
Anyway next year we plan to do the 5k walk and we felt this was too easy for my boy. We need to hit the gym a bit more and treadmill and the elliptical awaits him (me too? π).

So me with my Sthitaprajna. No he is not a Sthitaprajna, didnβt remove his hard earned medal and loved the entire routine.

The ice cream by the way was expensive but tasted so good.
