Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?
It was the year 2009. Winter was coming to an end. We had booked tickets to visit my brother in Dallas for spring break. I was more than excited since it was our first visit.
Then my younger one came home from school with an ear infection! Once the winter bug enters no one is sparred and we all started coming down as flies. My older one was in emergency room because he fainted at pediatrician office and they put him on an ambulance and shifted him to Children’s hospital dehydrated!
By the time it was all over, spring break was coming close and we were confused if we should make the trip. The doctor recommended we fly to Dallas since the weather would be warm. In all that confusion we lost our mail room key. We lived in a townhome. We had a phobe to enter the mail room and a key to open our mailbox. It took sometime for us to contact the necessary people and we left for Dallas.
The mail was not opened for days yet we didn’t bother and made the trip. It was a great trip.
When we came home. We had an envelope with the mailbox key and the phobe to enter the mail room. We entered the mailroom and picked up more than 2 weeks of mail.
What did we learn from this experience?
When you are sick, nothing looks important than your health.
We unnecessarily worry about so many things and some things need to be left to be solved on their own.
If something is bound to happen it would happen 😃!
We totally forgot about our mailroom key during those 3 weeks. But we did take the action and forgot about it.
Why did I write for this prompt? It was a situation which we did nothing and if he had not been sick we would have gone crazy over a mail room key! An experience we never forgot!
